Cheryl began her career with work experience on TFI Friday before moving to BBC Entertainment in 1999. After a long freelance career, with Producer roles on successful shows including Total Wipeout, Million Pound Drop and Great British Hairdresser, she moved over to Talent Management at ITV in 2011.
Cheryl loves bringing new talent into the business and matching people with their dream job. She is extremely passionate about job-sharing and retaining talent in the industry, having seen far too many talented and experienced TV freelancers leave after having children. Cheryl started coaching Mums-to-be and Mum returners at ITV in 2018 with hopes to expand this across the industry. Cheryl runs a Telly Mums Network group which has over 600 members. She has collaborated on several successful events with Share My Telly Job, with many more planned in the future.
Cheryl is passionate about mental health and wellbeing and is training to be a counsellor. She works a four-day week, within a team who all work flexibly.
